Estia keeps as little as an evening needs.
What we keep
Your Watched (titles, stars and your one-line notes), your taste in your own words, your country and services, and your evenings: who was there, both people’s words for the night, the films set out and the one you chose. With no email, all of this belongs to this browser only. An email is only used to sign you in.
What goes to the AI
To set the table we send an AI model tonight’s words, your taste words, and the titles and stars in your Watched. Never your name, email or handle. Your notes go only when it’s just you; in a shared evening they never do, and the model is told never to repeat either person’s words.
A guest’s words
When you join someone’s evening, they see your words for the night. Your words are kept as long as the evening is, and the host can hide them on a saved evening. If you delete your account, your words and your link to the evening go; the other person keeps the film you chose together.
Who else is involved
Film details and where-to-watch data come from TMDB and JustWatch. The app runs on Vercel and Supabase, and picks are made with Anthropic’s Claude. Your email, if you add one, is held only by Supabase, which runs sign-in.
Export or delete everything
On You, “Export my data” downloads everything above as a file, and “Delete everything” removes it for good.
